Jakarta – The era of the digital revolution has now reached the world of health. The development of technology and the internet today greatly influences how doctors and patients can interact. But keep in mind that this era has many advantages and also has challenges to face.
According to the Head of Sustainable Medical Development & Education Agency (BP2KB) PB Ddokter Indonesia (PB IDI), Dr. Purnawan Junadi, MPH, PhD, when entering era 4.0 we will experience disruptive technology. This will be a challenge which also makes the opportunity to be better, especially in the matter of providing health services to the community.
“More and more health workers are being absorbed as a result of era 4.0. Behind that, the real benefits of health 4.0 are that we can serve the community without doing activities. Because this activity can be transferred only through the internet,” Purnawan said. Opportunities and Challenges of Health Human Resources in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 at the University of Indonesia, Depok, Saturday (12/15/2018).
According to Purnawan, as a health human resource, we also have to have preparation so that it is not eroded by this technological era. As health workers we must be competent and ethical. We must also have the complex knowledge and intellectual capacity in life in this century.
Purnawan said that the principle that exists in this era 4.0 is to become all things become interconnectivity, which is all interconnected and openness occurs. Even in terms of this health system we can provide services and reach all Indonesian people only through the internet.
“Even in this industry, the selfie feature can be a diagnostic tool. By just looking at someone’s face, it can be immediately known that the person is sick or not. Interestingly, this feature is capable of diagnosing up to 90 diseases,” concluded Purnawan.
